Global warming is certainly an important issue, but are we getting all the facts?

You have heard:	But have you also heard?
The earth has warmed over the past 100 years	The international temperature standards were not established until 1968
The arctic ice is melting	A submarine arctic volcano has recently become very active!
Ice core data indicates that the earth has been getting warmer the past 100 years	The same ice cores indicate that all life as we know it died out multiple times due to cold
Surface temperature data clearly indicates that the earth is getting warmer	Upper atmosphere satellite data clearly indicates that the earth is getting colder
As Christians, proper stewardship of God’s creation is crucial.	To do that – we need to be accurately informed

The global warming presentation started out as just a 20 minute fun “Quiz” to clear up some misconceptions. It then turned into 45 minutes, then 90 minutes with a half hour of further discussion afterwards! In a recent 12 lesson seminar, of all the “hot topics” to discuss, Global Warming and Dinosaurs tied for first place! Our environment is clearly a subject that concerns conscientious Christians. (As well – it should.) As Christians, we do need to be good stewards, but we do not need to be distracted from our mission in life. God has a plan for each and every one of us. The purpose of the presentations (and book) is not to tell you how to take care of the environment, but to fill in the gaps with the information necessary to make Godly wise choices.
